NEW DELHI: An Indian political group, having radical roots, has threatened Pakistani actors to leave
India within two days, amid heightening tension between the two neighboring countries (bollywood news today).
According to Indian media reports, an Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS)-affiliate on Friday set
a 48-hour deadline for all Pakistani celebrity working in India to immediately leave the country.
“We gave a 48 hour deadline to Pakistani actors and artists to leave India or MNS will push them
out,” said Amey Khopkar, MNS Chitrapat Sena, according to Indian media outlets.
It is, however, not the first time that Pakistani artists have been threatened by Mumbai-based political parties.
Shiv Sena in the past had forced noted ghazal singer Ghulam Ali to cancel his performance in Mumbai.
They also threatened to launch a stir against a cricket match between India and Pakistan during the T20 World Cup.
