KSE-100 Index Sheds News
KARACHI: Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed at bearish trend yet again on Wednesday as the benchmark KSE-100 Index shed 462 points, while the index slipped 0.96 per cent to touch 47,607 points by the end of today’s session.
Today’s benchmark touched the day’s high of 48,602 points within the first 15 minutes of trading but failed to sustain the bullish rally. It went on to touch a low of 47,485 points by closing.
Trading activity was led by the cement sector, with 71 million shares changing hands during the session, followed by the banking and engineering sectors with 41m and 35m shares respectively.
Total 75 million shares of KSE-100 companies were traded during the session, with a total worth of nearly Rs8.2 billion.
