LAHORE: Two people were injured and goods worth millions were gutted as
a fire broke out at a shop in Lahore’s Anarkali Bazaar on Friday
night, Business92 reported.
According to details, the blaze erupted in a plastic toy shop located on the
first floor of a shopping plaza.
The fire spread to the plastic godown. Twenty-four shops and three halls have
been completely destroyed by the fire.
The traders watched helplessly as they saw their life earnings being reduced to ashes.
Rescue teams reached the scene and started the relief work. However, they have not manage to extinguish the raging flames after seven hours of struggle.
Rescue teams stated that the fire cannot be doused unless all the plastic material is completely burnt.
Twelve people were killed in a similar incident in the same market two years ago.
