‘We reached hospital on our own’: Bahria Town stage collapse victims

Bahria Town News

ISLAMABAD: The victims of the Bahria Town/ARY stage collapse incident held a press conference and claimed that they reached the hospital on their own.

The victims of the incident held a presser with social activist Jibran Nasir by their side. One of the affected victims, Wasim Abbas, said that when he reached the venue, the stadium was full. Wasim said that he fell from a height of 25-30 feet when the stage collapsed.

“It was chaos everywhere,” he said. “We went to the hospital for medical treatment on our own,” he added.

Jibran Nasir also spoke at the press conference and raised some valid questions regarding the incident. Jibran questioned why Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had not taken any action after the incident had occurred.

“I am thankful to the Chief Justice of Pakistan for taking suo moto action of this incident,” he said. “We will file a request to become a party to this case,” he added.

Jibran also wondered why emergency measures were not taken for the audience members who had attended the show that day.
