KARACHI: Senior leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), Dr. Amir Liaquat has resigned from party membership after the anti-Pakistan statement made by MQM chief Altaf Hussain (Karachi News Alert).
Speaking at a news show, Amir Liaquat said he parted away not only from MQM but also from politics. “I am confused what is going on from evening”, he added.
He further said “I apologise again and again to Pakistan and Pakistanis. Nothing is more important to me than Pakistan”.
During the show, the prominent MQM leader said he always tried to maintain the peace between party and the government but he failed.
Dr. Amir Liaquat advised MQM chief to distance himself from MQM and write a book if he cannot keep himself composed.
