GCCI President vows to create more jobs for skilled workers

GUJRANWALA: President Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI)
Saeed Ahmed Taj has pledged to create more job opportunities for the skilled
workers, Business92 reported.
He was addressing the students who completed skill training courses from
National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) under Prime
Minister’s Youth Skill Development Program here the other day.
“GCCI is working on generating more jobs and soon the members of our chamber
would visit vocational training institutes and chalk out joint strategy to accommodate
more skilled workers,” Saeed Ahmed Taj remarked.

Executive Director NAVTTC Zulfiqar Cheema says

Addressing the ceremony, Executive Director NAVTTC Zulfiqar Cheema announced
that his institution would provide interest free soft loans to the certified skilled youth,
who have completed short courses under Prime Minister’s Youth Skilled Developement Program.
“The aim of loan disbursement is to help youngsters start their own business and
contribute more to the economy,” Cheema added.
He said the market demand of skilled youngsters are high and all the certified
students were getting jobs easily.
The ceremony was largely attended by the students who completed skilled development
course, heads of vocational training institutes and business community.
Executive Director NAVTTC Zulfiqar Cheema, MPA Abdul Rauf Mughal distributed tool
kits among the certified plumbers, electricians and auto mechanics. MNA Shazia Sohail Mir
distributed beauty kits among the certified beauticians.
