ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says the government believes in speedy completion of development projects without making any compromise on their quality.
He was talking to media persons in Islamabad on Saturday after performing groundbreaking of Islamabad metro bus link to be constructed between Peshawar Morr and New Islamabad International Airport.
The Prime Minister said his government is giving top priority to mega communications and infrastructure projects to encourage foreign investors and speed up industrialization in the country.
He said modern infrastructure including airports, highways, motorways and transport system are the hallmark of a dignified nation.
Nawaz Sharif regretted the delays that were witnessed by different projects in the past saying the government has injected the necessary resources to revive and complete these projects.
Referring to the metro bus project, the Prime Minister said it has been included in the new Islamabad project with a view to facilitate the access of passengers to and from the airport. He said the metro bus project will simultaneously be completed with the new airport.
Briefing the Prime Minister about the Metro Bus Project, Chairman National Highway Authority said that all contractors are being mobilized on all the four phases of the project.
