New Islamabad airport to be operational by mid August: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that the state-of-the-art new Islamabad airport will be operational by mid of this August, Business92 reported.

The PM inspected new Islamabad airport, the other day, where he was briefed about the pace of work on the project to be completed by 14th August this year.

Ninety-five percent work on terminal building has been completed with a capacity of handling 4,500 passengers at a time.

State of the art fifteen aircraft docking stations are complete. International standard air traffic control system is being installed at the airport.

Prime Minister on the occasion directed Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to ensure early completion of the New Islamabad International Airport without compromising quality of the work.
