Sindh CM for speeding up work on Karachi’s mega projects

KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah on Wednesday directed concerned authorities to speed up work on mega projects of Karachi.

The Chief Minister presided over a high level meeting regarding mega projects of the city here at Chief Minister House. The meeting was attended among others by Local bodies Minister Jaam Khan Shoro, Chief Secretary Sindh, Additional Chief Secretary Development, Commsiioner Karachi and other high ups.

The chief minister was briefed during the meeting that work on Peeri Water Filtration Plant project, which will cost Rs900 million, was underway. The reconstruction of University Road from Hassan Square to Nipa, which will cost Rs884, is underway.

The project to lay sewerage line from NED to Safoora has been completed which cost Rs832 million.

The chief minister directed the concerned authorites to complte work on Tariq Road by first week of April, besides completing Moosimiyat Road by last week of April.
