Karachi Transporters Strike News
KARACHI: Goods transporters strike continues on the third consecutive day on Thursday in Karachi, Business92 reported.
The transporters have suspended countrywide operations and shipments are being piled up at ports and transporters’ offices.
The daily wages workers are suffering the most as they have rendered jobless.
Transporters said that the eight kilometer distance for their vehicle movement has increased to 180 kilometers due to Sindh High Court ban on heavy traffic movement on the roads of Karachi and transportation cost has increased to 35000 from 8000 rupees.
They demanded the administration to give them any alternative route or else a time must be fixed for their entry into the city.
