ISLAMABAD: India has formally approached Pakistan diplomatically over the death sentence of Indian RAW agent Kulbhushan Yadav, Business92 reported.
Indian High Commissioner (HC) Gautam Bambawala expressed his willingness to meet Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua and the foreign office gave him time.
The Indian HC sought Counsellor access to the Kulbhushan Yadav and the charge sheet.
Bambawala has asked the Pakistani government to provide the details of Raw agent’s punishment.
The Indian high commissioner stated the country asked the Pakistani government to provide consular access 13 times but they have not received any reply.
“Yadav is an Indian citizen. Pakistan should disclose the charges against him,” Bambawala told reporters after the meeting.
Bambawala stated that India doesn’t know anything regarding the disappearance of former Pakistan Army officer lieutenant colonel (retd.) Habib Zahir.
