Sixteen killed in Kurram Agency landmine blast

PARACHINAR: At least sixteen people including a woman were killed and five others
wounded when their vehicle hit a landmine in Kurram Agency area of Parachinar.

The bodies and the wounded have been shifted to Agency Headquarters Hospital, according to political administration.

The accident took place when a passenger van hit a landmine in Parachinar area of Godar, killing sixteen passengers and injuring five others.

The passenger van was on its way from Central Kurram to Lower Kurram.

The hospital sources said the critically injured have been shifted to Peshawar.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), MI-17 helicopter reached Parachinar and brought injured to the Peshawar hospital for treatment.

Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan condemned the blast early this morning and summoned a report on the incident.
