Lahore Female Terrorist Arrested
LAHORE: Investigators say that a female terror suspect arrested from Lahore
on Friday night could be the missing MBBS student of Hyderabad.
The suspect was arrested after a raid by intelligence agencies in
Lahore’s Punjab Society area.
One terrorist was killed in an exchange of fire with security personnel and
his two accomplices, including a woman, were arrested.
Noreen Laghari, a resident of Hussainabad and a second year student of Liaquat Medical College, left for college on Feb 10 and never returned.
According to the police, the girl was last seen boarding a bus to Lahore.
According to anti-terrorism officials involved in the probe, the girl is still in Pakistan and it was proved by tracking down location of a computer she had used recently to send a text message to her family.
The Hyderabad police quoted her friends saying that Noreen Laghari was sympathetic towards extremist groups raising suspicions she may have joined any global jihadi outfit.
According to sources, Noreen’s university card and a copy of her father’s CNIC were found from the raided house.
