Major terrorist plot to target university buses thwarted

LORALAI: Paramilitary Frontiers Corps and intelligence agencies on Wednesday
thwarted a major terrorist plot to attack law enforcement agencies and university
students in Loralai district of Balochistan.

According to a statement issued by the ISPR, as part of ongoing countrywide
Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, FC and intelligence agencies conducted a joint targeted
operation in Killi Shah Karazi near Loralai against banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)
and Jamaat ul Ahrar (JuA) network led by Wahab Zakhbail.

It said that 23 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were recovered during the operation.

Reportedly, the IEDs were transported to the area by TTP elms to target LEA vehicles and
Loralai University buses carrying students.

According to the ISPR, timely action of the LES averted a major terrorist incident.

The Operation Radd-ul-Fassad was launched yesterday across Pakistan to root out terrorists.
