KARACHI: Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Chairman Syed Mustafa Kamal along with many of his party leaders and supporters were rounded up following clashes with law enforcement agencies in Karachi on Sunday evening.
According to details, PSP supporters and police clashed with each other as they were marching from Shahrah-e-Faisal towards Chief Minister House.
Police fired tear gas shells in order to make the advancing protesters retreat.
The law enforcement agencies reported told the PSP protesters to not advance past Aisha Bawany School. They fired tear gas shells when the protesters failed to comply.
Speaking exclusively with Samaa TV, Mustafa Kamal said that the law enforcement agencies targeted unarmed protesters. He added that they were going to have their demands met.
“They made my job much easier. Now the protest will spread to every nook and corner of the city,” he added.
“I am being arrested for asking water for my children,” Kamal said while being arrested.
PSP leader Anis Ahmed advocate has said that the party will announce its next strategy tomorrow.
PSP leader Dr. Sagheer Ahmed and Raza Haroon were also amongst the arrested persons.
