RAWALPINDI: Female suspected militant Noreen Leghari, who was arrested
in an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) from Punjab society in Lahore on April 14,
has disclosed she was to be used as a suicide bomber by IS (Daesh) on the eve of Easter.

“I had to blow myself in a Church in Lahore on the eve of Easter,” she confessed
before security officials during interrogation.
“Ali (terrorist killed by forces on April 14th during the IBO) was involved in terrorist
activities and Abu Fauji was his close aide,” Noreen disclosed during the interrogation.
She revealed that the terrorist organization had given them suicide vests, hand
grenades and the bullets for executing terror plan.
In a a video confession played during a press briefing conducted by DG ISPR
Major General  Gen. Asif Ghafoor, Noreen Leghari made it plain that she left
her house to go to Lahore on her own free accord.
Noreen Leghari apprised the security officials that she had never gone to Syria
for military training and lied to her parents by sending them message.
DG ISPR, during the press briefing, informed that Noreen’s parents approached
Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa about her disappearance
and shared all the details including her inclination towards extremists elements.
“Army Chief directed the Military Intelligence (MI) chief to investigate the matter
and recover Noreen as she is the daughter of nation,” Major General Asif Ghafoor remarked.
She also acknowledged that her father was a professor at the Sindh University
and she was a second year student of Liaquat Medical College.
