Operation ‘Radd-ul-Fasaad’ aims to consolidate gains of past operations: DG ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor said that operation Radd-ul-Fasaad aimed to consolidate gains of past operations and countering the ‘mischievous’ elements.

While talking to a private news channel on Tuesday, DG ISPR said that all the previous military operations, including the operation Zarb-e-Azb had succeeded in achieving its goals. He said, “The previous operations were primarily aimed at restoring the state’s writ in different areas and eliminating terrorists’ hideouts but the Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad aims at consolidating gains of the previous operations.”

Major General Asif Ghafoor said that the operation sought to stop the terrorists’ facilitators inside the country and also included a de-weaponisation campaign but it had no timeline. He said, “Collectively we will drive out the course of ‘Fasaad’ from the country.”He said that every institution was doing its work wonderfully.
