ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s first lady Mahmooda Mamnoon Hussain
held a meeting with her Turkish counterpart Emine Erdogan in
Islamabad on Thursday and discussed bilateral relations (Pak Turk News).
Mahmooda Mamnoon also said that Pakistan and Turkey are enjoying
exemplary friendship. She thanked the Turkish lady for extending
support to Pakistan in hour of need. She said both the countries
are facing similar kind of challenges.
Mahmooda also appreciated the role of Turkish first lady in elimination
of child labor in Turkey and providing equal educational opportunities
for all. She also appreciated her role for women rights.
The first lady of Turkey Emine Erdogan also said that Pakistan is her second home.
Earlier while addressing a function of Red Crescent Society, Emine also said
her country is ready to extend every kind of help to Pakistan in health and education sectors.
She also said Turkey will particularly cooperate in promotion of girls education in Pakistan.
She further thanks Pakistan for extending cooperation after failed coup in Turkey.
The first lady distributed wheelchairs among the deserving disabled persons.
She donated twenty electronic wheelchairs and ten incubators to Red Crescent Society.
