ISLAMABAD: In view to make more transparent and fair election in 2018, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has bought 100 more bio-metric machines, which will not only fulfill the technical needs of ECP but also assist in testifying votes during the elections.
“The main purpose to buy biometric machines was to make next general elections more transparent and fair as the machines are trust-able and effective,” said EC.
Election Commission has planned to use these machines as pilot testing across the country in next general elections. The digital data will be feed in the machines as a pilot testing so that the voters could be tested and voting process become more reliable.
Election commission said that NADRA had already been contacted for the thumb expression of voters, however no respond yet been received from NADRA.
ECP said that the report of results of pilot testing will be presented before election reform committee.
