ISLAMABAD: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government on Thursday decided
to lodge an FIR against interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, federal interior
secretary and IG Punjab police for firing teargas on the convoy of Chief Minister
Pervez Khan Khattak and preventing them from entering Punjab, Business92 reported.
Moreover, KPK Information Minister Mushtaq Ghani also said the rubber bullets were also
fired on the convoy of Pervez Khan Khattak. “Under which law, our entry to Punjab
was blocked by Punjab police and FC?” he questioned.
Furthermore, the convoy came under heavy teargas shelling at Swabi Interchange first before
being stopped again at Burhan Interchange.
Police and FC personnel fired hundreds of teargas shells on the Khattak’s
convoy and forced it to retreat to Swabi.

Meanwhile, interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan also said the government
will always take stringent measures for the security of masses. “Miscreants will
also be dealt with iron hands,” he remarked.
