PESHAWAR: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Wednesday
accused the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan
of misusing the mandate of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and asked him
to either play a role in the parliament or tender resignation
from it (Peshawar News).
Addressing a press conference here at Peshawar Press Club (PPC)
Wednesday, PML-N leader Ameer Maqam said that 90 percent of
the mandate of PTI is given by the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,
but, it is not representing them on the national issues.
He said that in the year 2014, PTI staged a sit-in of 120 days and
created hurdles in the visit of President of the People’s Republic of
China and today they are boycotting the parliament on the occasion
of the visit of the Turkish President, Recep Tayyib Erdogan.
The central leader of PML-N said that Turkey is the best friends of
Pakistan and the people of both countries love each other, adding
that as to what kind of message the PTI wants to give to the world by
boycotting his address to the parliament.
Amir Muqaam said that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa welcome
Turkish President, Recep Tayyib Erdogan to Pakistan as the people of
both countries have extended support to each other in every critical juncture.
In response to a question, he said that work on Dasu and Basha-Diameer
Dams was in full swing. The completion of the projects will generate
several thousand megawatt electricity. Similarly, he said that work on
Golen Gol Hydel project in Chitral is also in progress.
Regarding Munda Dam, he said work on this multi-purpose dam will
also be started and incase of no donor, it will be constructed by our own resources.
