ISLAMABAD: The three-member special implementation bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan has reserved the verdict in Hussain Nawaz picture case  while hearing in Panama Joint Investigation Team’s (JIT) petition about complaints pertaining to obstacles being created and threats that the JIT has received being continued.

The special bench which also heard Hussan Nawaz’s application over the leakage of his picture in the foyer of the Federal Judicial Complex, while waiting for his appearance before the JIT.

Earlier the head of JIT and Additional Director General of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Wajid Zia had arrived at the Supreme Court under stringent security.

Wajid Zia had submitted the petition in a sealed envelope to Supreme Court pertaining that the problems faced by the JIT during the probe on June 10.

Hussain Nawaz had approached Supreme Court on June 7 over the leaking of his picture of his appearance before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT).

During the hearing Hussain Nawaz’s counsel Khawaja Harris expressing concerns over the leaking of his client’s picture said that a picture has been leaked now tomorrow even a video could be leaked tomorrow. What’s the guarantee of that prime minister’s video would not be leaked, he added.

Justice Ijaz Afzal remarked that the video recording the interrogation would not change the status of statements. The only purpose of making video of the statements is to take the wight text, he added.

After listening to arguments the court reserved the judgment over the issue pertaining to leaking of Hussain Nawaz’s picture and video recording.
