KARACHI: Former Senator of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Syed Faisal
Raza Abidi, who was taken into custody the other day, has been sent to
jail on judicial remand till November 19, Business92 reported Sunday (Politics Pakistan News).
The Ex-PPP stalwart was produced before court in Malir. The judge
accepted police request for Abidi’s judicial remand and ordered him
to send jail till 19th of this month.
Police has also registered a case against Faisal Raza Abidi for possessing
illegal weapons, claimed to have recovered from his residence.
Meanwhile, his wife Nida Abidi has strongly criticized Sindh government
and said the life of his husband is in danger.
“Faisal has no connection with any defunct organization and he is
a patriotic person,” Nida Abidi told reporters during a press conference in Lahore.
She also claimed her life was in danger and these circumstances
compelled her to leave Karachi and stay in Lahore.
Meanwhile, protests were held in different cities against arrest of
Syed Faisal Raza Abidi and fresh wave of target killings.
The workers of Majlis-e-Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) gathered in
Rawalpindi and raised voice against deteriorating law and order in Karachi.
They demanded the government to apprehend the real faces behind Karachi killings.
