Rabi-ul-Awwal Crescent news
ISLAMABAD: The crescent for the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal was
sighted in several parts of the country on Wednesday and Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW)
will be observed on December 12, Business92 reported.
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee (CRHC) met in the federal capital
with its chairman Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman in the chair. The committee
announced that it received evidences from different parts of the country.
Moreover, “The crescent has been sighted and Jashan Eid Milad-un-Nabi
(birthday of Holy Prophet (SAW) will fall on December 12,” Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman
also told reporters after the meeting.
A statement by the Meteorological Department also said yesterday that there
was fair chance of sighting the new moon of Rabi-ul-Awwal, 1438 on the
evening of November 30, 2016 i.e. on 29th of Safar, 1438.
Furthermore, in a letter written to the Ministry of Religious Affairs on Tuesday, the Met office
also said that the new moon of Rabi-ul-Awwal, 1438AH will be born on crossing
conjunction point at 17-18 PST on 29-11-2016.
