ISLAMABAD: Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui of Islamabad High Court
has said that the court will announce the short order of the case pertaining
to sacrilegious matter on the social media today which will be followed
by detailed order later.
The court took a brief break when Deputy Attorney General plead it to
do so because Attorney General was on the way and could be a bit late.
When the hearing resume after the brief break the FIA submitted submitted
the report on the progress.
The counsel of the petitioner Tariq Asad said that clocking the sacrilegious
pages is not the solution of the problem.
When Justice Siddiqui said that how the bloggers have fled out of the country could be brought back Director FIA Mazhar Kakakhel said that if we could bring Rahman Bhola back we could also bring the bloggers back if they are nominated suspects. Re warrant of them would get issued and they could be brought back under it, he added.
What more could the court do, pinpoint the bloggers and I would bring back myself, Justice Siddiqui commented addressing Tariq Assad. At this point in time Attorney General said that the note was sent to the prme minister yesterday.
Disposing off the case Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui said that the court will announce the short order today which would be followed by long order later Justice Siddiqui closed the case.
In the last hearing On March 27 Interior secretary had informed the court that so far three suspects have been arrested of whom two are directly involved in this disgusting work. The issue has also been put before the ambassadors of 27 Muslim countries and they are being informed that the sacrilegious content of Facebook has hurt the feelings of the Muslims a while a Joint Investigation Team has also been formed to probe the case.
He had also informed the court that 85 percent of the blasphemous content content is being removed from the Facebook while over 15 percent of is still there. He also said that closing down Facebook is not the solution of the issue.
Justice Siddiqui had also said that the entire government had left the entire work on Chaudhary Nisar’s shoulders. Where are IT expert Ahsan Iqbal and the Religious Minister, Anusha Rahman should appear in the court and tell it why this issue has not been resolved, he had said.
During the last hearing chairman PTA had informed that court that action against 40 pages has been taken while a team is searching for such other sacrilegious content. The Facebook has removed the inciting and infuriating content, he said while calling Facebook acceding to PTA’s demand to remove the blasphemous content.
