RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa said on Friday that terrorism had no religion, sect or ethnicity and further stated that Pakistan Army would root out corruption through Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.
The army chief made theses statements while addressing participants of National Security and War Course at National Defence University Islamabad.
General Bajwa said that the full spectrum of threat demands comprehensive national response and Army is fully engaged in enabling that response in coordination with other institutions of the state.
The army chief said that one could not close his/her eyes towards his/her responsibilities in the region and then resort to blaming each other. Certain players in the region were resorting to such tactics, said General Qamar Bajwa.
Earlier, on arrival at NDU, COAS was received by President NDU Lieutenant General Rizwan Akhtar.
