PPP activists have started to reach his tomb at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh early in the morning. Bhutto served as the 9th prime minister of Pakistan from 1973 to 1977, and prior to that as the 4th president from 1971 to 1973. He was executed on April 4, 1979 in General Zia’s regime.
PPP will hold a public rally in Garhi Khuda Bux on the occasion, for which party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari have reached Naudero. All arrangements for the rally have been finalised. The rally would start with a Mushaira at 3pm, after which Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto and others will address the PPP activists.
The public meeting will be followed by a high-level party meeting at Naudero House. Members of the PPP central executive council will attend the meeting.
