KARACHI: Legendary batsman Javed Miandad has demanded capital punishment for the players found guilty of match fixing on Thursday.
While talking to media, the former captain and head coach of Pakistani team Miandad said that strict laws needed to stop match fixing in the country. He said, “Authorities must take measures to stop this. Why don’t you take strong measures? You should give death penalty to such people.”
While Shahid Afridi has demanded of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to take stern action and impose life ban on the players involved in match fixing. He was of the view that match fixing could not be stopped without taking strict measures.
